Press release

The Ukrainian Society of Switzerland lends its full support to the international initiative to designate the 25th of November as the Day of Remembrance for those 7 to 9 million Ukrainians who perished in the Great Famine-Genocide (Holodomor in Ukrainian) orchestrated by the Soviet regime in 1932-1933.

On November 24th at 14.00, Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine will gather in front of the Ukrainian Embassy in Bern, and in numerous places around the world, to solemnly commemorate this tragic day of sorrow. We call upon the members of all communities to join Ukrainians in this Day of Remembrance of the Holodomor.
